"WITHOUT HAVING A GOAL IT’S DIFFICULT
TO SCORE"
Written by Nick Havercroft, 6.10.2011

Our goal at Green Earth Africa is to help companies and individuals to become carbon neutral, water neutral and species neutral. We have designed a more cost effective and open method to help you achieve this, which at the same time will enhance the protection of the environment and the planets resources. Green Earth Africa, as well as offering environmental offsets also offers various short, medium and long term investment opportunities with rates of return in excess of 15% per annum.

Our planet is under stress, so are its inhabitants. Is climate change our fault, Mother Nature or just a cycle the Earth is going through? I am unconvinced it is our entire fault, but I am convinced that we have contributed to the climate changes the planet is currently experiencing.

Climate change is on the forefront of many people’s minds and the signs are becoming more and more obvious almost on a daily basis .2011 has been a year of extremes, North America has seen one of the worst droughts in living memory in the Mid and South West. The East Coast was battered by Hurricane Irene and New York had to be evacuated. The Philippines was hit by two typhoons in a week with over 500mm of rain falling which according to NASA dropped the level of the oceans. The horn of Africa is suffering from a prolonged drought with over three million people facing starvation. Pakistan has been hit for the second year in a row by some of the heaviest monsoons on record. Forecasters in England were forecasting a big freeze for England during October, but the first week in October was the hottest since records began with temperatures exceeding 30 Celsius.

Many governments, companies and individuals are making great steps towards reducing greenhouse gas emissions and taking the necessary steps to help protect the environment. INTRODUCTION TO GREEN EARTH AFRICA
Written by Nick Havercroft, 18.03.2010

Climate change is on the forefront of the world headlines, people’s minds, business’s balance sheets, future planning, livelihoods and habitat. Most people accept that the climate is changing and that we are the main cause of this change. Some people do think differently and will argue that it is a natural cycle which the earth is going through; however, nobody can be certain... click here to read more

Kyoto Protocol

The Kyoto Protocol is an international agreement linked to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change. The major feature of the Kyoto Protocol is that it sets binding targets for 37 industrialized countries and the European community for reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions .These amount to an average of five per cent against 1990 levels over the five-year period 2008-2012.
