Purchase CARBON Credits

Carbon offsets are purchased to offset your own or companies carbon footprint.A personal carbon footprint is the amount of green house gasses caused by your day to day living produced from emissions such as inefficient heating of your homes, inefficient water heating, emissions from your car, air travel, public transport the waste you produce etc.A companies carbon footprint is the amount of greenhouse gasses emitted to run your company and produce a product or supply a service, such as a hotel (laundry, air conditioning, heating etc).Being introduced globally is a Cap and Trade system, which governs the amount of greenhouse gas emissions your company can produce, if you exceed this amount you have to buy carbon credits to offset your excess production of green house gasses.Trees absorb greenhouse gasses and Carbon credits are bought from companies which use the funds  to  protect rain forests from destruction  and for planting new forests which create a new carbon sink for absorbing greenhouse gasses.
